The Open Space Committee will be sending qualified residents a letter and information about conservation easements. Residents who own sub dividable property with appropriate road frontage will be receiving this packet which will outline the tax advantages of donating a portion of their property for the creation of a conservation easement that would protect that property from future development. Interested residents will have the opportunity to invite a representative from the committee and The Westchester Land Trust to their property to evaluate
the potential for a conservation easement and review the process.
