Please have your garbage accessible by 6:00 a.m. on your scheduled pickup day.
RUBBISH must be at curbside. Up to four bushels, or equivalent, will be picked up by DPW, up to a maximum of 80 pounds/bushel.
Rubbish/Trash: furniture, couch/chairs, all computer equipment(except monitors), audio equipment, microwave ovens, hard/soft cover books, small appliances, vacuum cleaners, mattresses/box springs, "do it yourself" remodeling projects (e.g., sheetrock, 2x4's cut to 5' lengths and tied).
Latex & Oil-Based Paint Cans:
may be disposed of at curbside with rubbish (LIDS MUST BE OFF). Paint must be hardened/absorbed before disposal (use kitty litter, newspaper, and/or air dry). Liquid paints will damage our trucks and the roads when compacted/spilled.
DPW can not collect the following materials: auto engines, firewood, tree trunks, logs, railroad ties, contractor building supply waste, rocks, stone, cement, concrete, or medical supply waste (including syringes).
Bulk Metal Pickup
Bulk Metal Pickup must be scheduled for pickup on your recycling Wednesday. Call the department at 941-9105 to schedule an appointment.
